White House National Security Council: No One Should Feel Sympathy for Iran’s Regime

The White House National Security Council, responding to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ satellite-carrying missile test, stated that no one should feel sympathy for Iran’s regime.

The White House National Security Council wrote in a Twitter message: “While the Iranian people are suffering and dying from COVID-19, the Iranian regime is bragging about wasting money and resources.”

The message continued: “No one should feel sympathy for this regime. Iran should not be allowed to expand intercontinental ballistic missiles! This is the reason for sanctions against the regime.”

Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State, also commented on Iran’s missile test: “The Iranians launched a military satellite-carrying missile. They had promised that all their satellite programs and related missile programs would be non-military, but the commander of this missile launch, Hajizadeh, is the commander of the aerospace force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the same person whose forces just a few weeks ago targeted a civilian airliner and killed 176 innocent people.”
