“Zabihullah Mujahid”: Iranian Officials! Use appropriate language, such statements should not be repeated

“Zabihullah Mujahid” in response to Ebrahim Raisi’s warning said: Iranian officials! Use appropriate language, such statements should not be repeated.

Ebrahim Raisi during his visit on Thursday, May 18, to Sistan and Baluchestan, addressing the rulers of Afghanistan said: “Take the issue of Helmand water and Iran’s water rights seriously and provide the rights of the people of Sistan and Baluchestan more quickly.”

Hussein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s Foreign Minister also stated in this regard: “Our clear request from Afghanistan is that while there is an opportunity, open the gates of the Kajakai Dam so that both the people of Afghanistan and the people of Iran can be satisfied.”

The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) also in response to Ebrahim Raisi’s warning regarding Helmand water rights, issued a statement and in response to Raisi’s warning said: such statements should not be repeated. The Taliban also addressing Raisi’s threats regarding the Helmand water rights issue declared: “Iranian officials must first complete their information about Helmand water. Otherwise, the political atmosphere between the two Muslim nations will be damaged.”

The full text of the aforementioned statement can be seen below.

Taliban officials also announced in this statement that due to the small amount of water in the Kajakai Dam, even if we open the dam gates, water will still not reach Iran.

The Taliban government also in response to Ebrahim Raisi’s warning mocked him and holding a small container of water, addressing Raisi declared do not attack us we are afraid, we will bring you water.

In an agreement concluded in 1972 between the two countries of Iran and Afghanistan, Afghanistan was obligated to provide 850 million cubic meters of Helmand River water annually to Iran; however, Afghanistan’s non-compliance with this contract in past decades has created a serious challenge between the two countries.

The Islamic Republic government has, over 43 years, so undermined Iran’s authority and culture that it has made this country subject to mockery by governmental entities like the Taliban, to the extent that they not only questioned the information of officials but also issued serious warnings regarding the use of appropriate language with Taliban officials.
