Execution of five prisoners in different prisons

HRANA News Agency – In the early hours of Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, May 31, the sentences of five prisoners who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related and murder-related charges were carried out in Dastgerd prisons in Isfahan, Kerman, and Jiroft.

According to HRANA News Agency, citing Hal Vash, two prisoners were executed in Kerman Prison at dawn today, Thursday, June 24, 1402.

Their identities have been stated as “Qaderbakhsh Dahani, known as Nader Kalbali, 39 years old, son of Nader, married, with children, and from Zahedan, and Abdul Rasool Jamshidi, 55 years old, married, with children, and from Fars Province.”

According to this report, Ghaderbakhsh was arrested in 2018 and Abdol Rasoul in 2020 on drug-related charges in Kerman and sentenced to death by judicial authorities.

Also, on Tuesday, June 2nd, these two prisoners were transferred from the general ward of Kerman Prison to solitary confinement in this prison to carry out their death sentence.

Execution of a prisoner in Jiroft Prison

According to Hale Vash, at dawn today, the sentence of another prisoner, identified as "Mohammad Darai (Ahmad Golbache), 30 years old, son of Abdul Nasser, married, with children, and from Zahedan," who had previously been sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was carried out in Jiroft Prison.

This prisoner was arrested in 2019 and sentenced to death.

This prisoner was transferred to one of the solitary confinement cells of this prison on Tuesday, June 2nd, to carry out his death sentence.

Execution of two prisoners in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan

According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, two prisoners named Majid Jafari and Ali Tabib were executed in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan at dawn on Wednesday, June 22.

The report quoted an informed source as saying: “Majid Jafari had been in prison for about two years on drug-related charges and Ali Tabib for about three years on murder charges.”

As of the time of writing this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by the media inside Iran or official sources.

According to the annual report of the Center for Statistics, Publications and Works of the Human Rights Activists' Association in Iran in 2022, 457 reports have been registered, including 92 people sentenced to death, including 6 sentenced in public, and 565 executed. Of these, 2 were executed in public. Also, 5 people who were under the age of 18 at the time of committing the alleged crime, and who are called child criminals in legal terminology, were also among those executed this year.
