Ahvaz Fire Chief: We only have one worn-out ladder to cover incidents

The head of the Ahvaz Fire Department, referring to the city's population of one million, said that we only have one worn-out 22-meter ladder to cover incidents.

Ebrahim Qanbari, who spoke to ISNA news agency on Sunday, August 16, criticized the organization's lack of equipment and said, "In a situation where the height of buildings in Ahvaz is increasing, the fire department must also be equipped."

He said that the only long ladder the organization has is 36 years old and "currently the price of a 56-meter ladder with a dollar of 23,000 tomans is 40 billion tomans."

According to Ebrahim Ghanbari, the Ahvaz Fire Department also needs 30 operational vehicles and 400 personnel.
