Head of Ahwaz Fire Department: We Have Only One Dilapidated Ladder to Cover Emergencies

The head of Ahwaz Fire Department Organization, referring to this city’s population of one million, said that to cover emergencies we have only one dilapidated 22-meter ladder.
Ibrahim Qanbari, who spoke with ISNA news agency on Sunday, August 26, criticized the shortage of equipment in this organization and said: “At a time when building heights in Ahwaz are increasing, the fire department organization also needs to be equipped.”
He said the only tall ladder the organization has is 36 years old and “currently, the price of a 56-meter ladder with the dollar at 23 thousand tomans is 40 billion tomans.”
According to Ibrahim Qanbari, the Ahwaz Fire Department Organization also needs 30 operational vehicles and 400 personnel.
