16-Year-Old Hammad Rigi-Koteh Killed by Gunshot

16-year-old Hammad Rigi-Koteh from Khash city was killed by a direct gunshot.

Another young Baloch citizen was killed by a direct gunshot. Images of Hammad Rigi-Koteh (Qalandarzahi) circulating on social media networks indicate his killing by unknown individuals.

16-year-old Hammad, son of “Mawlavi Mohammad Osman,” the Friday prayer imam of “Al-Khalil” Mosque in Khash city, was shot dead on Friday, corresponding to April 11, in the “Sar-Talap” area of Khash by armed passengers in a Peugeot vehicle through a direct gunshot.

Following Hammad’s killing, Khash city became heavily secured, and his funeral procession was also held with the presence of security forces.

Sistan citizens have been subjected to oppression and crimes by the Islamic Republic regime since the past until now. In the past two weeks alone, 22 Baloch citizens have been executed by the Islamic Republic system. People who were merely demanding their rights and freedoms, and since the beginning of the popular revolution uprising, have not left the scene of protests and continue to fight for freedom.

Baluchestan is also one of the provinces with the highest number of child victims during the protests. Hammad is yet another young victim who lost his life from a direct gunshot.

Complete information about the identity of the shooters is not yet available, but it is believed that the regime’s armed forces killed him; because immediately after his death, the city came under heightened security and even his body was carried in a funeral procession under the supervision of security forces.
