A German Intelligence Report Says Iran Still Pursuing Weapons of Mass Destruction

According to Fox News, an intelligence report released in Germany states that Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Pakistan continue to pursue efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction.

Fox News reported on Tuesday, June 17, that this 181-page report belongs to the Baden-Württemberg intelligence agency, one of Germany’s states.

Weapons of mass destruction include nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. The Baden-Württemberg state report indicates that the development section of such weapons refers to efforts to produce and acquire the necessary knowledge to build them or systems related to their use. Among the mentioned countries, North Korea and Pakistan currently possess nuclear weapons.

The American president has consistently criticized the Iran nuclear agreement with world powers. By stating that this agreement does not prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and does not change the behavior of the Islamic Republic in the region, he withdrew from it.
