Armita Garavand’s Coma: A Repetition of Mahsa Amini’s Murder Crime

Armita Garavand falling into a coma due to non-compliance with mandatory hijab has become a repetition of the crime of murdering Mahsa Amini.
Government-sanctioned killings of women over mandatory hijab non-compliance have no end. In September 2022, we witnessed the murder of Mahsa Amini due to improper hijab—not the absence of hijab—by regime agents, and subsequently, many girls and women seeking justice were severely wounded, blinded, and killed by the regime’s bullets. After that, many women were also beaten by those commanding virtue, who are the regime’s torchbearers, for failing to observe mandatory hijab, with many of these incidents not even becoming news due to regime threats. Today, the crime of Mahsa Amini’s murder was repeated in a different form.
Today, a video was circulated on social networks depicting another crime by government agents. This video shows the moment when Armita Garavand, a 16-year-old girl, along with her friends, entered a metro train car without hijab, and moments later at the same station, her friends removed her from the car while she was unconscious.
According to eyewitnesses, after the girls entered the car, they were verbally abused by a chador-wearing woman who attacked the girls and violently pushed Armita, causing her head to hit the ground and resulting in bleeding. At that moment, her friends along with several other passengers transferred her out of the car, and from that point, Armita fell into a coma. After an ambulance was dispatched to the metro and following Armita’s loss of consciousness, she was taken to the hospital, but according to her friends’ statements, Armita remains in a coma.
It should be noted that the videos released by government media regarding this incident are edited footage, and despite all cars being equipped with CCTV cameras, they have not released any images from inside the car or the events that occurred in it in order to cover up the crime of the perpetrator—exactly what happened to Mahsa Amini in the morality police van, and its video was never released.
It should be noted that so far, no information regarding the identity of the assaulting woman is available.
