Arrest of Man Accused of Murdering His Wife in Mashhad
Hrana News Agency – A man accused of killing his wife by strangulation has been arrested in Mashhad.
According to Hrana News Agency, citing Khorasan sources, a man accused of killing his wife by strangulation has been arrested in Mashhad.
The defendant in this case stated during his confessions: “I had become tired of Elham’s (my second wife’s) behavior. I rented her the best apartment with all amenities because I didn’t want to witness her conflicts with my first wife every day! But that woman went her own way and paid no attention to my advice, to the point that her behavior and words became unbearable to me. Finally, I reached my breaking point and decided to kill her. About a month before the incident occurred (last summer), I discussed the matter with my cousin who is a caretaker at an educational center in Mashhad to ask for his help. He bought a jump rope and shortened it so I could use it to strangle my wife. Our plan was for him to come to the house after the murder and take my wife’s body with him. Hassan told me, ‘You kill her! I’ll give the body to my friends to take towards Qouchan and dispose of it.'”
He continued: “For this reason, I gave Hassan a spare key to the house where my wife was living and asked him to come at 5 a.m. to take the body, but that morning when Hassan quietly entered the house, he found my wife sleeping next to my child. He told me angrily that I hadn’t done it! I said my little son was sleeping next to his mother and if I killed her, he would wake up and this scene would remain in his memory! For this reason, I backed off. Finally, this opportunity came in late Tir of last year when Elham and I were invited to a family gathering by one of our relatives in the new city of Golbahar. That night, when we returned from the party to my second wife’s house on Mirzakouchak Khan Boulevard, I found it an appropriate time to kill her. I was very affectionate with her and made love to her. I poured the powdered sleeping pills I had prepared beforehand into orange juice and gave it to her. That night I put my little son to sleep in the living room and we went to the bedroom. When my wife fell into a deep sleep from drinking the juice, I immediately took the shortened jump rope from inside the car and threw it around her neck from behind. My wife opened her eyes at that moment and our last glance after the last party became connected to each other, but I had already made my decision. I pulled the rope ends until she died and her body fell from the bed to the floor. After that, I waited for Hassan, and he arrived on time. He had brought a bag with him. We tied the hands and feet of my wife’s lifeless body with rope and placed the corpse in the bag and took it down through the elevator and placed it in the trunk of Hassan’s Samand car.”
The defendant added: “My cousin had told me that he would give money to his friends to take the body towards Qouchan. Of course, that day we also threw clothes, items, and even the jump rope into a bag next to the body, and Hassan took it with him. As for me, in order not to be arrested as a murder suspect, I devised a new plan. I took my 5-year-old son to my first wife’s house and asked her to take care of him until his mother arrived! On the other hand, I went to the police intelligence office and reported Elham missing so no one would suspect me. I told the police that my wife had gone to a doctor’s office for treatment. I also went to my workplace at a car dealership, but when I returned home at noon, my wife wasn’t there and my son was alone in the house!”
“Mohammad-T” continued: “After this incident, I was summoned to the police intelligence office several times, but each time I repeated my previous statements until finally the judge issued an order for my arrest, and only then did I realize that everything had been exposed. I had no choice but to tell the story, but out of fear of punishment, I blamed Hassan for the murder. However, after Hassan’s arrest, it became clear that he had thrown the body into the sewage well of the educational center, and finally on the 30th of Ordibehesht, with Hassan’s confession, my wife’s body was removed from the well.”
“Hassan,” the other defendant in this case, who has now been charged with accomplice to intentional murder, confirmed the statements of “Mohammad-T” and confessed to receiving over 300 million tomans in cash and gold for transferring and burying the body. He said: “I prepared the tools for committing the murder and gave them to Mohammad to kill his wife, and I also brought the body to the educational center myself, but I didn’t know where to bury it. For this reason, I initially dug up the storage room of the educational center with a pickaxe, but it was very hard there, and I thought to myself that in these circumstances I could only dig about 30 centimeters, so I gave up. Then I thought about throwing the body into the sewage well! Because a day had passed since the murder and the body was in the hot air inside the car trunk. Without delay, I went to the sewage companies and emptied the educational center’s sewage. Then I poured some rubble into the well and threw the body, still bound hand and foot, into the well. After that, I threw the dirt back on it and cemented the well cover so no one would notice, but unfortunately I don’t know how the investigators found out about this matter and came after me!”
