Crown Prince Pahlavi Addresses Iranian People: “Stay Away from Repression Centers for Your Safety”

Reza Pahlavi, following Israeli and American attacks on Iran, warned the Iranian people to stay away from repression centers and urged them to protect themselves in the final phase of the struggle.

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, in a message addressed to the Iranian people, alluding to the sensitive situation of the country, called on citizens to refrain from appearing in streets and approaching government, military, and law enforcement centers in the fateful days ahead.

He clearly stated in his message:

“Fellow Countrymen,
Important and fateful days lie ahead. As you prepare yourselves for the final phase of the struggle, I urge you to refrain from appearing in the streets for now. Do not approach government, military, law enforcement centers, and facilities belonging to the repression apparatus.”

Crown Prince Pahlavi also warned the people about the Islamic Republic’s use of public spaces to hide repression forces and create human shields, stating: “The Islamic Republic uses schools, mosques, and other public places to hide repression forces and create human shields. Stay away from such places for your own safety.”

In another section of his message, he advised government employees not to report to their workplaces and not to sacrifice their lives for the survival of the regime. He added: “My special message to government employees is that you must not report to your workplaces under any circumstances. Do not sacrifice your lives and safety for the survival of the Islamic Republic. Do not allow yourselves to be used as human shields. Do not allow your work and activities to become tools of repression against your fellow citizens. Use your resources and access to disrupt the repression process and help the people.”

This message was released as many political activists and observers considered it a vital warning to protect people’s lives and prevent the Islamic Republic from using citizens as human shields.

Human rights and internal security experts have also emphasized that such messages, at a time when there is a danger of widespread repression and the use of public places for military operations, can play an important role in reducing casualties and alerting citizens.
