Arrest of Three ‘Terrorist Teams’ in Western Iran

The Minister of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic announced on Thursday the identification and arrest of members of ‘three terrorist teams’.

Mahmoud Alavi, according to Mehr News Agency, said that these groups were arrested in the western part of the country.

Mr. Alavi did not provide further explanation in this regard and did not refer to the identity of the detainees.

Officials of the Islamic Republic, particularly the Minister of Intelligence in Hassan Rouhani’s government, have repeatedly announced in recent years the arrest of members of several ‘terrorist’ teams in various parts of the country, including in western and southern Iran.
