Austria Donates One Million Doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine to Iran

Austria donated one million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Iran to combat the global spread of coronavirus. Alexander Schallenberg, Austria’s foreign minister, announced on Monday, September 6, that every vaccine is important in our global fight against the pandemic, and we cannot witness gaps on the world map of vaccination.

Austria’s assistance comes at a time when, according to the latest statistics from Iran’s Ministry of Health, from September 5 to 6, 27,579 new confirmed cases have been reported in the country, bringing the total number of coronavirus patients in Iran to 5,156,986.

Also, in these 24 hours, 583 more patients lost their lives, and the total number of coronavirus deaths reached 111,257.

Vaccination in Iran is proceeding slowly, and many blame Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, for the current situation and the deaths of tens of thousands of citizens, as he had previously banned the entry of “American” and “British” vaccines.
