Bodies of Mahabad Victims Being Buried in Their Homes

According to popular reports from Kurdish cities in Iran, Mahabad, Javanrud, and Piranshahr are in dire conditions, with the bodies of people killed by security forces being buried in their homes.
Based on reports received from the people of Mahabad, in the course of a massive massacre that occurred following nationwide protests in the city, the people of Mahabad were forced, out of fear of their friends and loved ones’ bodies being stolen, and due to threats from government security forces to bury them, to bury the bodies of these loved ones in their homes. According to Mahabad residents, the security forces of the Islamic Republic government have committed mass murder against the people of Mahabad, but unfortunately, due to various issues, there is no opportunity for filming or photography and media coverage to report the death toll.
The people of Mahabad announced that security forces are committing mass murder, but we only have stones in our hands to defend ourselves. Another point is that people in this city cannot even walk freely in their homes and are forced to crawl, as security forces fire military bullets into houses.
The people of Mahabad announced that during the day the situation is outside of security control, but at night there is martial law. Checkpoints have been set up at gas stations and at the entrances and exits of the city, and plainclothes officers, each responsible for inspecting a specific item, inspect all belongings, mobile phones, and vehicles, looking for an excuse to arrest people. Another point is that for some time now, in the middle of the night, they have attacked homes to create terror and fear, breaking everything and taking young people from their homes without reason. Also, when families inquire about their loved ones, no information is given to the families about where they have been taken.
The economic situation in these cities is also deeply devastating. Job loss and lack of income have caused severe harm to families.
The people of Mahabad announced that unfortunately this has always been our lot, but we Kurds are Iranian and our values are humanity, solidarity, and fighting against oppression, and we are confident that we will celebrate freedom; because until the last drop of our blood, our lives are in our hands and we will stand firm.
