Daily COVID-19 deaths in Iran reported above 400 once again; Confusion at vaccination centers

Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that the number of deaths caused by coronavirus in the past 24 hours exceeded 430 people. The total number of coronavirus fatalities in Iran has reached more than 92,000.

This is the consecutive day that the number of coronavirus victims in Iran is reported above 400 according to official statistics. The accuracy of these figures has come under renewed doubt by domestic and foreign health experts.

The daily number of people infected with coronavirus has also been reported at more than 38,000. On Wednesday, the record for daily coronavirus cases in Iran was broken with a figure of 39,000 people announced.

Iran’s Ministry of Health states that nearly 3 million people have received both doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines.

Meanwhile, officials at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences are reporting that a significant number of people are visiting vaccination centers across Mashhad with fake notices and SMS messages in hand, leaving them in a state of confusion.

According to ISNA, these officials said that “this issue has caused problems for our colleagues in the field of vaccination and health.”
