Expansion of Truck Drivers’ Strike

The truck drivers’ strike expanded from the day the call was announced until last night (Wednesday, December 30).

Following nationwide protests in which many truck owners supported the strike in various cities, as part of a call to the people of Iran for the current week, which coincides with the arrival of a fact-finding committee in Iran, the number of truck drivers who joined the nationwide strikes increased.

The truck drivers’ strike in various sectors as well as tanker drivers had begun on December 25, and based on public reports recently released, truck drivers from the cities of Marivan, Bandar Abbas, Isfahan, Qazvin, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Nasim Shahr (Tehran), Shiraz Refinery, Hamadan (Asadabad), Bushehr, Shahrezā, Kashan, Ahvaz, Mahshahr, and Maragheh also joined the strikers.

The message of the Iranian people to the dear truck drivers is this: You dear and hardworking truck drivers, with this great action you have taken, you have achieved half of Iran’s victory. With this action, you will break the backbone of the country’s economy, and the leaders of the state, whose everything is money, are afraid and will flee. We kindly request from other dear truck and tanker drivers to continue these strikes until Iran’s freedom and the overthrow of the Islamic Republic regime, and to stand alongside the Iranian people. Iran’s victory is near and the Islamic Republic regime is on the verge of collapse in just a few steps.

When will the countdown to the victory of the popular revolution and the fall of the Islamic Republic regime reach zero?
