Colonel Seyedjalal-Din Javanmardi said regarding this incident: “Upon receiving news that the child’s parents were standing on the eastern bridge of Rudsar and intended to throw their child into the water, officers from police station 11 of the county immediately went to the reported location to investigate the matter.”
Based on this report, the child’s parents ignored the presence of law enforcement officers and police psychologists. Javanmardi stated in this regard: “The 37-year-old father of the child attacked law enforcement officers, but was arrested through a surprising police action, and the child was rescued from their hands through timely police intervention.”
According to the police commander of Rudsar county, the child’s parents are addicted to drugs. Therefore: “With judicial coordination, the 15-month-old child was handed over to the Gilan Province Welfare Organization until the case is resolved, and the child’s addicted parents were also referred to a drug addiction treatment center.”
