Grand Nationwide Call on Occasion of Truth-Finding Team’s Entry into Iran
The United Nations Human Rights Council has formed a team called the “United Nations Fact-Finding Committee” to investigate cases of human rights violations in Iran, and the Iranian people have announced a call for action coinciding with this team’s entry into the country.
The United Nations Human Rights Council, in order to investigate cases of human rights violations by Iranian government officials and personnel who have severely suppressed, arrested, and killed protesters during these eleven weeks of popular protests, has formed a team called the “United Nations Fact-Finding Committee.” It intends to enter Iran to document human rights violations that occurred during the suppression of protesters and record cases of alleged criminal offenses, based on documents and evidence currently at its disposal.
According to BBC News, the human rights organization has announced that if the Islamic Republic denies entry to the committee’s members or refuses to cooperate with them, the committee’s activities will not be halted.
In light of this resolution issued by the international organization, the Iranian people have made predictions and planned a call for action to coincide with the truth-finding team’s entry into Iran, declaring: If the Islamic Republic system prevents the entry of the United Nations fact-finding team—which it certainly will—the same calamity that befell the Cossacks will befall the Islamic Republic system. Soon Iran’s airspace will be closed and all of Iran’s communications with the world will be severed, and the system will be disarmed through NATO; because the international organization will rely on the people’s reports it has received.
Therefore, we the people of Iran emphasize once again that broad presence of people in the streets will help accelerate this resolution. Do not fall for the deceptions of reformists and the system’s scenarios, whether separatism, scapegoating, ethnic conflicts between Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Baloch, or divisions between Shiites and Sunnis.
From the 14th to the 16th of Azar month, a grand gathering call will be held coinciding with the fact-finding team’s entry. During these three days, come to the streets and hold the largest protests we can organize. It should be noted that during these days, the international fact-finding team will enter Iran to document the situation in Iran and its people up close, and if their decision is in favor of the people, the likelihood of holding a referendum will be very strong.
This is the least we as people can do to achieve victory in the popular revolution against the Islamic Republic system. So during these days, come to the streets and achieve the greatest revolutionary victory for ourselves.
