Germany’s Foreign Ministry summoned Iran’s Charge d’Affaires in Berlin due to involvement in an attack on a synagogue in Bochum.

In its statement, Germany’s Foreign Ministry, while noting that according to the Düsseldorf State Court’s opinion, the traces of the plan to attack the synagogue in Bochum in November 2022 lead back to one of Iran’s state institutions, and therefore we summoned Iran’s Charge d’Affaires, added: “The attack on Jews in Germany is unacceptable. We will not tolerate any form of violence in Germany that is controlled by foreigners. The reasons and inevitable consequences of this decision for future measures against Iran, including at the European Union level, are significant.”
