Laying the Haft Sin on the graves of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini and other martyrs of the freedom struggle on Nowruz 1402

Amjad Amini, the father of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini, announced that they will lay the Haft Sin of Nowruz 1402 on his daughter Zhina’s grave.
Six months after the killing of Mahsa Amini, whose death marked the beginning of a popular revolution, and many other Iranian freedom advocates, Amjad Amini announced that they will hold the Nowruz 1402 ceremony with family members beside Zhina’s grave.
In an exclusive interview with “Iran Wire,” Amjad Amini stated: “After six months have passed, we are still waiting for a transparent investigation into Zhina’s case by the country’s judicial authorities.”
Zhina’s father also stated in an audio file published by “Iran Wire” on social media: “Unfortunately, from day one until now, the country’s judicial system has not provided any response to our complaints and requests, nor to the requests of Zhina’s legal representatives. On the other hand, from the very first day when we filed our complaint, we have been demanding to review the footage from cameras mounted on the clothing of police officers who were involved in Mahsa’s arrest inside the van, as well as cameras installed at the entrance of the Morality Police station, and requesting copies of all case documents including medical reports and investigations conducted. We have also demanded the participation of legal representatives in investigating and speaking with the women who were detained with Zhina inside the Morality Police van. However, until now, all of these requests have gone unanswered by the country’s judicial system, and none of our demands have been approved.”
Amjad Amini also announced that if no response or result is obtained through the country’s judicial authorities, they will be forced to pursue their complaint through international judicial centers, just as many families of the nationwide uprising’s victims have recently sent letters to international judicial authorities demanding investigation into their loved ones’ cases.
Zhina’s father also announced that they will be at Zhina’s grave with family and relatives at the moment of welcoming the new year 1402.
Not only the Amini family but all families who have lost their loved ones in the nationwide protests have announced that they will welcome the new year at the graves of their loved ones with the laying of the Haft Sin.
It is expected that the presence of the families of the martyrs of the freedom struggle at the graves of their loved ones on the occasion of welcoming the new year will mark another gathering on the morning of Tuesday, the 1st of Farvardin 1402, coinciding with the celebration of the new year.
