Likelihood of “Armed Protests” by Trump Supporters in 50 U.S. States
The U.S. Federal Police have announced that Trump supporters are planning to turn Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony into violence and riots. The FBI has stated that violent extremist forces are attempting to stage protests in all U.S. states, including Washington.
According to an internal FBI bulletin, U.S. federal police officers have obtained information regarding plans for “armed protests” by Trump supporters on January 20th, coinciding with Biden’s inauguration ceremony.
News network “CNN,” citing this information, has stated that Trump supporters are planning to hold demonstrations in all U.S. states, including Washington and around the U.S. Congress.
This information is being released at a time when U.S. law enforcement agencies have increased their presence. The FBI estimates that violence from Wednesday (January 6 / December 17) in America may continue in the coming days, particularly on the day of Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony.
During the riots on January 6th and the attack by Trump supporters on Congress, five people lost their lives. Subsequently, police have undertaken identifying and arresting a number of protesters who played a role in these riots.
The U.S. Federal Police have announced that based on obtained intelligence, Trump supporters are planning to stage riots in all states between January 16-20.
The FBI’s intelligence bulletin considers the danger of violent protests around the U.S. Congress building for January 17-20 to be serious. It has been stated that in the event of Donald Trump’s impeachment, “armed protests” would be held.
Muriel Bowser, Mayor of Washington, has requested residents of the city to refrain from gatherings and movement in the city on the day of the inauguration ceremony (January 20) and to follow the ceremony digitally.
The Mayor of Washington has expressed concern about the continuation of riots in the city. Bowser stated: “If I am afraid of something, it is the danger that threatens our democracy. The reason is the existence of extremist groups in this country that are both armed and dangerous.”
