Mahmonir Molaei-Rad, Mother of Kian Pirfalak, Under House Arrest

Mahmonir Molaei-Rad, mother of Kian Pirfalak, has been under house arrest since Sunday, June 21.

According to reports published on social media networks, the Pirfalak family home has been surrounded by security forces since Sunday, and all of their household belongings have been confiscated.

Also, according to eyewitness accounts, streets adjacent to the Pirfalak residence have been controlled by security forces, and any filming is prohibited. It should be noted that Meysam Pirfalak and their young son have also been transferred to an unknown location by security forces, and to date, there is no information available regarding their whereabouts and condition.

The Pirfalak family home was surrounded after Poya Molaei-Rad, Mahmonir’s cousin, was killed by bullets from regime security forces. Poya also lost his life after being transferred to the hospital. Not only did the people of Izeh react to this incident, but media outlets affiliated with security institutions, including “Nournews” and “Tasnim,” in response to widespread public reactions on social media networks and in various cities, attempted to hold Poya responsible for the death of a police officer and presented Mahmonir, Kian’s mother, as “facilitating” this event on the anniversary of Kian’s birth.

Mahmonir has also, following Kian’s death, held the regime’s officials responsible for this killing and has maintained her stance against the government’s claims that attributed Kian’s killing to a blind insurgent.

The people of Izeh will also take to the streets today, Thursday, June 25, in support of the Pirfalak family starting at 7 PM.
