Nahid Tagavi, Dual Citizen Prisoner, Transferred to Solitary Detention

Nahid Tagavi, an Iranian-German dual citizen, has been transferred again from the women’s ward of Evin Prison to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Detention Center. The reasons for Tagavi’s re-transfer to this detention facility are unknown. Tagavi’s daughter expressed concerns about her mother’s health condition.
According to Hrana News Agency, Nahid Tagavi, an Iranian-German dual citizen, was transferred on Monday, April 16 (April 5) from the women’s ward of Evin Prison back to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center (Section 2A of Evin Prison).
Maryam Klaren, Nahid Tagavi’s daughter, issued a statement expressing concern about her mother’s health condition and the conditions of her detention.
It is reported that the reasons for Tagavi’s re-transfer to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center are unknown.
Nahid Tagavi, a 66-year-old Iranian-German citizen, has been imprisoned in Evin since September 16, 2020. Amnesty International is concerned that she may be subjected to torture and denial of medical services in prison.
Nahid Tagavi emigrated to Germany with her family in 1982 and has made numerous trips to Iran over the past 15 years.
On November 2, it was announced that Nahid Tagavi, an Iranian-German dual citizen, had been arrested in Tehran. This news was released by the German Human Rights Organization for the Defense of Human Rights in Frankfurt, and called on the German government to work for her release.
