New Sanctions Against IRGC a Positive Step, But Insufficient

Prince Reza Pahlavi said regarding the new sanctions that these measures against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are a positive step, but insufficient.
The U.S. Treasury Department, in coordination with the United Kingdom, imposed new sanctions against senior officials of law enforcement and the IRGC who oversee the suppression of public protests and censorship surveillance.
Prince Reza Pahlavi also posted a tweet regarding this action, stating: “The new sanctions against IRGC affiliates are a positive step, but insufficient. The necessary and effective measure is to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization by the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other allied countries.”
He also sent a message to the IRGC personnel and other military, security, political and administrative institutions of the country, calling on them to separate their path from the criminal leaders of the Islamic Republic and join the Iranian people.
Social media users also responded to the sanctions imposed against the IRGC and Prince Pahlavi’s message, stating: “It is Prince Pahlavi’s principle and path that has gathered us lovers together, and for this reason we will not allow history to repeat itself and Iranians to be known as ungrateful.”
