Official COVID-19 Statistics in Iran; Death Toll Returns to Three Digits

Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that after six days, the number of coronavirus victims in Iran has returned to three digits, with 119 COVID-19 patients dying in the country over the past 24 hours.
The daily death toll from coronavirus fell to two digits on the first of December and after 234 days, reaching 97 people, and although on the second day of December it returned to three digits again at 132, until Tuesday, the 9th of December, the daily number of victims remained below one hundred.
According to the Ministry of Health announcement, by noon on Tuesday, 4,253 new coronavirus patients were identified in Iran, of whom 801 were hospitalized.
With the inclusion of the new official statistics, the total number of coronavirus patients in Iran reached 6 million, 117 thousand, and 445 people, and the official death toll from this disease reached 129 thousand and 830 people.
Currently, 3,334 COVID-19 patients in Iran are in critical care units in hospitals in severe condition of the disease and are under observation.
Daily official coronavirus statistics in Iran are being presented to the media while there are serious doubts about their accuracy, and the death toll is estimated to be at least two to three times the official figures.
According to official reports, so far 57 million, 679 thousand, and 61 people have received the first dose, 47 million, 147 thousand, and 333 people the second dose, and 1 million, 66 thousand, and 269 people the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and the total number of vaccines administered in Iran has reached 105 million, 892 thousand, and 663 doses.
As announced by the Ministry of Health, currently 22 cities are in orange status, 207 cities are in yellow status, and 219 cities are in blue status, with no cities in red coronavirus status.
