People of Mahabad in Need of Blood and Medicine

The killing and wounding of many Kurdish people has left them in need of blood and medicine.
About seventy days have passed since the protests began, and the people of Iran continue to take to the streets demanding their rights. In these protests, Iran’s Kurdish cities have been heavily attacked and suppressed by Revolutionary Guard forces. The cities of Mahabad, Javanroud, and Piranshahr have suffered the highest number of casualties and wounded so far. The people of Javanroud have been severely attacked by Revolutionary Guard forces with heavy machine gun fire over the past several days.
A citizen from the city of Mahabad posted a message on social media about the situation in Mahabad. The person, believed to be a nurse, wrote in this text: “I am sending you this message from Mahabad and I don’t know if it will reach you or not. It is now 8:15 in the morning and they keep cutting off the internet. I wanted to tell you that Mahabad and Piranshahr need medicine, blood, betadine, saline solution, antibiotics, sterile gauze, bandages, adhesive bandages, and artificial tears. I don’t know what the situation is in other cities. We don’t have electricity either and my power bank is dead and this is the last charge on my phone. I hope the people of my country Iran are safe and healthy. I hope that by morning I stay alive and open my eyes and hear that Iran has become free. I heard that some young people from Tabriz came to help this city but 2 of them were martyred and 9 others went to Piranshahr and brought some medicine there. Please, anyone who reads this message, share it. I sent this message with a thousand difficulties, please help us. We haven’t slept for three nights out of fear and terror.

For a peaceful and restful sleep
For my last message
