Pope Francis: Middle East Should Choose Path of Dialogue and Peace

Pope Francis, leader of the world’s Catholics, called on the Middle East to choose the path of dialogue and peace to end the war.
In a Sunday speech, Pope Francis, referring to the war between Israel and Gaza and the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East, called on officials in the region to choose the path of dialogue and diplomacy. He emphasized in his remarks: “Once again, I urge you not to succumb to the logic of war, and to pursue paths of dialogue and diplomacy.”
He also noted that he will support an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and the beginning of peace talks between the two sides.
Pope Francis again, without condemning the crimes committed in this war, called for unlimited access to humanitarian aid in Gaza.
