Prince Reza Pahlavi: Today’s Iran is a Country Gripped by Crisis and the Regime is Incapable

Prince Reza Pahlavi, in an interview, spoke of the crisis in Iran and the regime’s incapability in these days.

Prince Reza Pahlavi, in a discussion with the Italian newspaper “Il Giornale” on the current date of Monday, April 28, while referring to the Bandar Abbas catastrophe, said: “Corruption, repression, and ideological extremism have caused the country’s isolation and trapped the people in poverty and hardship. Nevertheless, in the midst of this dark situation, there is hope. A resilient people who desire freedom, prosperity, and a bright future, while the regime finds itself in its weakest, most vulnerable, and most unstable condition.”

He also added regarding the dire economic situation: “Today’s Iran is a country gripped by crisis, whether economically, politically, or socially. The regime is incapable and fractured from within.”

Prince Pahlavi, also yesterday in response to the Bandar Abbas explosion that caused the deaths of many citizens, wrote in a published message: “The criminal and incompetent regime caused yet another catastrophe, this time in Bandar Abbas. Innocent people once again became victims of the Islamic Republic’s irresponsibility. This regime has neither the capability to build nor the capability to protect its people. A people who, in just the past few years, have witnessed with their own eyes the crash of the Ukrainian plane, the Plasco, Metropol, and Sanchi disasters, and still mourn their loved ones, have no trust in this regime and its lies. Khamenei’s hand is stained with the blood of the Iranian nation. The hypocritical smiles of his agents in Muscat and Rome will not be a salve for this nation’s wounds. While expressing deep sympathy with the families of those killed in the Bandar Abbas explosion, I call upon all my compatriots to assist the victims of this catastrophe.”
