Return of the Torture Coffin from the Sixties

The torture coffin that was used in the sixties to extract confessions from prisoners has returned to prisons during the renewed nationwide uprising.
The Islamic Republic regime has so far committed heinous crimes through widespread suppression of people, massacres in the streets, executions, shooting children and teenagers, mass arrests, pressure on families, and other atrocities that have never occurred in human history.
Now, based on published reports, the torture that was carried out years ago in the sixties in prisons has returned to prisons—the same torture coffin or grave chamber!
According to Kayhan London news agency, the purpose of torture with the coffin was to make prisoners repent, which in some cases worked and in others did not, and the prisoner showed greater resistance to the torture. Another goal of this torture is to remove prisoners from their human state, because a prisoner in the coffin is unable to perform even the simplest daily tasks.
Hossein Shahravi is one of those detained during the nationwide protests who was tortured with the “grave chamber.” According to a report from Radio Farda published from an informed source, Hossein, in poor condition, contacted his parents’ home and said: The officers took me to a room that they called the “death room.” A room with white walls from which a voice came through a microphone saying my son, you are dead. Hossein said I shouted that I am not dead. He also told his sister in another call that there is a dark halo in his mind. This criminal regime subjected him to open torture and psychological torture.
So far, many prisoners have been subjected to severe torture by government officials that severely wounded their bodies and in some cases resulted in death from torture. But this torture, known as the “grave chamber,” causes more irreparable damage to the spirit and body of individuals.
The Islamic Republic, in order to last a bit longer and maintain its rule, has turned to old torture methods so that it can carry out its latest crimes through this means.
