Saravan Protests; At Least Three Citizens Arrested Including a 16-Year-Old Teenager

On Tuesday, the 5th of Esfand, at least 3 protesting citizens, including a 16-year-old teenager, were arrested by security forces in connection with the Saravan protests. On the previous day, a group of citizens in Saravan city gathered in front of the city’s governor’s building to protest the killing and wounding of several fuel traders. The protest gathering turned violent with the intervention of security forces. These forces fired buckshot bullets and tear gas at the citizens, resulting in the wounding of a number of people.
According to a report by Hrana news agency, citing the Baluch Activists Campaign, on Tuesday, the 5th of Esfand 1399, at least three citizens, including a teenager, were arrested by security forces in Saravan.
Based on this report, the identities of these individuals are listed as Mohammad Shahrassan Zahi, son of Kaham Dad; Aziz Shahrassan Zahi, 16 years old, son of Lehdad, from Mehestan city; and Mohammad Darzadeh, son of Abdolghafoor, resident of Dezak village, a suburb of Saravan city.
To date, there is no information about the detention location of these individuals.

On Monday, the 4th of Esfand, border guard forces blocked the passage route of a group of fuel traders in the border areas of Saravan city, and in protest, they gathered in front of a Revolutionary Guards base where they were met with gunfire from military forces. According to the Baluch Activists Campaign, following the shooting by these forces at the group of fuel traders, at least 10 citizens were killed and 5 others were wounded.
