Teenage Girl Killed by Her Father in Nourabad Mamassani
A teenage girl in the city of Nourabad, a suburb of Mamassani county in Fars Province, was killed by her father using a hunting rifle on Monday, June 27, 2022.
According to Hrana news agency, the news organ of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, on Monday evening, June 27, 2022, a teenage girl was killed by her father.
The identity of this teenager has been verified by Hrana as “Ariana Lashkari, 16 years old, daughter of Mohammad Kazem, resident of the city of Nourabad, a suburb of Mamassani county in Fars Province.”
An informed source told Hrana: “Ariana’s father killed his teenage daughter using a hunting rifle. Her funeral was held at 6:30 PM on Tuesday at Zahra Paradise Cemetery in Nourabad.”
Further details of this incident, including the motive for the killing of this teenager, are being investigated by Hrana.
It should be noted that according to Islamic penal law, a father who kills his child is subject to payment of blood money (diyeh) and imprisonment if convicted in court. In some cases, fathers, after realizing that they will not be executed for killing their child, have committed the act.
