Tehran City Council Member: 15 People Die Daily Due to Air Pollution in the Capital

Shahrbanu Amani, a member of Tehran City Council, announced that 15 people die daily due to air pollution in the capital.
Ms. Amani said on Sunday, December 8, during a speech before the agenda of the Tehran City Council session, that the air pollution problem is related to mismanagement and stated: “This mismanagement is not limited to mere mistakes; some have overstepped and, intentionally or unintentionally, violated citizens’ rights”.
She added: “Unfortunately, Tehran’s breath is numbered.”
This Tehran City Council member also considered the measures taken to reduce air pollution in Tehran to be insufficient.
In recent weeks, with an increase in Tehran’s air pollution levels, the capital’s air has been declared “unhealthy” for all groups on many days.
