Tehran Has Still Not Provided Documents of Commercial Aircraft Downing to Kyiv

Officials responsible for the investigation into the Ukrainian commercial aircraft shot down by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps missiles say they have yet to receive documents and records that the Islamic Republic had promised.

According to Russia’s Interfax news agency, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, despite one and a half months having passed since the last meeting between delegations of the two countries, no action has been taken by Iran to enable a new round of negotiations.

It will be nearly a month until the anniversary of the crash of the Ukrainian commercial aircraft with 167 passengers and 9 crew members in Iran’s airspace after takeoff from Tehran International Airport.

Ukrainian officials say the results of investigations into this incident and the manner of compensation payment by the Islamic Republic’s authorities must be clarified as soon as possible.
