They Have Rejected the Referendum, Because It Is Clear What People Want

Maulawi Abdul Hamid in his remarks announced that they have rejected the referendum issue, because it is clear what people want.
Today, Friday, corresponding to 8 Ordibehesht 1402, Maulawi Abdul Hamid, the Friday prayer imam of Zahedan, in his sermon speech at this city’s Friday prayers, spoke about the issues of political activists. He, referring to the request of some political activists for a referendum and the violence being committed against political prisoners, as well as the situation of detainees, said: “UN human rights reports indicate a shocking situation and violent treatment of detainees and political prisoners, as well as harassment and torture of prisoners after their release. Some officials have rejected the referendum issue because they know and it is very clear and evident what people want and what the outcome is.”
Zahedan citizens also, after the completion of Maulawi Abdul Hamid’s speech, held a protest gathering and with the chants of “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom” raised their voices for justice and freedom of Iran, protesting the detention of detainees, as well as protesting the death sentence of innocent people.
