US Sanctions Five Iranian Ship Captains for Transferring Fuel to Venezuela

The United States on Wednesday, June 25, sanctioned five Iranian ship captains for transferring gasoline to Venezuela. The U.S. Department of Treasury stated that they transferred 1.5 million barrels of Iranian gasoline and related petroleum products to Venezuela “in support of Maduro’s illegitimate regime.”
The five individuals were captains of the oil tankers Clavel, Petunia, Fortune, Forest, and Faxon. The details of the sanctioned individuals are as follows:

Mohsen Gohardehi, Passport Number E5280784, Passport Expiration Date March 5, 2025. Date of Birth September 14, 1985.

Reza Vaziri, Passport Number T4553498, Passport Expiration Date May 8, 2023. Date of Birth March 5, 1967.
Hamidrezah Yahya-Zadeh, Passport details were not mentioned in the Treasury Department statement. Date of Birth October 12, 1961.
