Bolton Warns Iran’s Government: Do Not Use Language of Threats Against America

Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor, the President of the United States, warned Iran’s Islamic Republic government on Monday not to use the language of threats against the United States.
According to the Associated Press, John Bolton said that President Trump emphasized in a conversation with him that if Iran makes a mistake, it will pay a price that few countries have paid.
The President of the United States previously warned the Islamic Republic and Hassan Rouhani in a tweet, never threaten America, because you will face consequences that few people in history have experienced.
President Trump wrote to Iran’s president, “We are no longer a country that will tolerate your crazy words about violence and death. Be careful.”
This is President Trump’s reaction to Hassan Rouhani’s remarks from the previous day, in which he said, “War with Iran is the mother of all wars, and peace with Iran is the mother of all peace.”
Iran’s president also warned American officials, “Do not play with the lion’s tail, it is regrettable.”
The White House spokesman also responded on Monday afternoon to a question about whether the tone of President Trump’s tweet last night is similar to the tone of a tweet he wrote last year addressing the leader of North Korea, and whether there is a possibility of negotiations between the presidents of Iran and America, saying that our goal is to prevent Iran’s access to nuclear weapons.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, in her daily press briefing, in response to another journalist’s question about whether the goal of President Trump’s administration is ultimately regime change in Iran, said I reiterate again that our goal is to prevent Iran’s access to nuclear weapons, regardless of who is in power there.
President Trump has repeatedly stated that the American government supports the Iranian people, and this position was clearly emphasized in a speech by the U.S. Secretary of State to a gathering of Iranian Americans.
President Trump also predicted in a press conference in Brussels that given Iran’s collapsing economy, the Islamic Republic will ultimately contact him and request a deal.
