Farhad Navai, a 16-year-old student from the village of «Torshkan» in Mahabad, was abducted and detained by security forces in November 2022 following nationwide protests. Farhad Navai remains in limbo after 7 months have passed, and the charges against him remain unclear.

Farhad is not the first teenager to be detained by security forces and left in limbo. Since the start of the protests, many children, teenagers, and young people have been arrested, tortured, and even killed by the regime’s security forces, and many remain in uncertainty without their charges being specified.
