Execution of Two Prisoners Carried Out at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz
Hrana News Agency – Early this morning, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the execution order of two prisoners was carried out at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz. These citizens had previously been sentenced to death in separate cases on charges of murder.
According to Hrana News Agency, citing the Ahvaz Human Rights Organization, two prisoners were executed at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz on the morning of Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
The identities of these prisoners were identified as “Majid Amouri, son of Naji, 25 years old, resident of Ramshir city and Qadir Naseri, 23 years old, resident of Bandarmahalshahr.” According to the Ahvaz Human Rights Organization, Qadir Naseri was less than eighteen years old at the time of his arrest.
Based on this report, when Qadir Naseri was 17 years old, security forces went to his father’s house in Bandarmahalshahr for his arrest. This resulted in an armed clash and the death of two security personnel named Mohammad Reza Rafieinasab and Allah Nazar Safari. Eventually, Mr. Naseri was sentenced to death on charges of killing these officers.
Majid Amouri had also been arrested following an altercation that resulted in a murder and was sentenced to death on the same charge. He had previously been transferred on March 4, 2021, to one of the solitary confinement cells of Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz for the execution of his sentence.
