Families of Flight 752 Victims Support Families of November Protesters Seeking Justice

The Flight 752 Association issued a statement on Thursday, calling the Islamic Republic a “villainous” government and describing the arrest and suppression of justice-seeking families in Iran as “unbearable.”

The statement was issued following the arrest of several filmmaker critics, mothers seeking justice, and other members of families of those killed in November protests in recent days.

The Flight 752 Association, composed of families of victims of the Ukrainian passenger aircraft that was shot down by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps missiles, wrote that the Islamic Republic “sets no limits on massacre and suppression.”

The statement reads: “A government that has killed its own innocent citizens, instead of being accountable, instead of arresting and punishing the murderers who are all its own agents, is dragging brave and protesting families into prison.”

The families of victims of the Ukrainian flight added that the Islamic Republic “pays no attention to public opinion” and is “a vile and villainous government that resorts to killing and suppression whenever it deems necessary.”

They wrote that before “it becomes our turn,” we must support the families seeking justice, because “justice-seeking is a collective demand and requires the support of all Iranian citizens.”

The Flight 752 Association added that outside the country, the demands of the families of the victims include “placing the Revolutionary Guards on the list of terrorist groups, imposing targeted sanctions on suppression and killing forces, and also referring cases such as PS 752 to international bodies.”
