According to Hrana News Agency, citing Asr-e Iran, a teacher accused of sexually assaulting children in Ferdows county has been sentenced by Branch 101 of Criminal Court 2 to 7 years and 3 months in prison and a 2-year ban on residing in the city.

The Chief Justice of South Khorasan Province stated in this regard: “The allegations about the teacher sexually assaulting 18 children that were published in opposition media outlets are not accurate. Furthermore, the court imposed an additional penalty of a 2-year ban on residing in Ferdows.”

The Chief Justice of South Khorasan Province stated: “Meanwhile, with some complainants filing objections to the court’s ruling, the case has been referred to the provincial Appeals Court and legal investigations continue in order to examine all aspects and dimensions of this unfortunate matter through judicial review.”
