Four Kurdish Citizens Arrested in Piranshahr

Over the past weeks, four Kurdish citizens have been arrested in the city of Piranshahr in West Azerbaijan Province by security forces.

According to a report by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network website, after families of the detainees approached the Piranshahr Intelligence Department, they were informed that the charges against these individuals are “cooperation with Kurdish parties opposed to the Iranian government.”

According to reports, since autumn of this year, more than one hundred Kurdish citizens have been summoned or arrested in various cities by security forces. Many of them have been charged with cooperation with or support for Kurdish parties opposed to the Islamic Republic.
