Woman Killed by Her 68-Year-Old Father
Domestic violence resulted in the death of a woman at the hands of her 68-year-old father.
The police commander of Ilam Province announced the arrest of a 68-year-old man who killed his daughter with bricks following a verbal altercation.
According to the statement of Commander Jamal Salmani, when police officers arrived at the scene, they found the bloodied and lifeless body of a woman who had suffered severe injuries to her head and neck. She was transferred to the hospital by emergency personnel. The woman died due to the severity of her injuries.
Investigation by officers at the scene revealed that the 68-year-old man had killed his daughter by striking her with bricks. He was arrested without resistance and transferred to the police headquarters.
The suspect stated that his motive for the killing was a verbal altercation, inability to control his anger, and family disputes. After the case file was opened, the suspect was referred to judicial authorities to proceed with legal proceedings.
