Zahedan Under Siege by Security Forces
Zahedan has been placed under siege by security forces as a result of weekly Friday protests.
Since the uprising of the popular revolution in Zahedan, not only has momentum not declined, but it remains strong. Another Friday in Zahedan and the people’s protest continues after Friday prayers. Throughout the period of popular protests, Zahedan has lost the most young people. Today, Friday, the 7th of Bahman, the “Masjid Makki” mosque in Zahedan and the city’s entrance areas have been surrounded by security forces to suppress the protesters.
Videos published on social media pages indicate that suppressive forces have opened fire on the people of Zahedan. According to reports received from the people, a number of them have been wounded as a result of gunfire from suppressive forces.
However, the honorable Baloch people have not abandoned the struggle and continue to stand boldly in the streets demanding their rights. The people of Balochistan have declared that until the last drop of blood, they will stand for the freedom of Iran and have no fear of the deadly weapons of security forces.
