9-Year-Old Kian Pirfalak Killed by Gunfire Last Night

Viral videos on social media show that 9-year-old Kian Pirfalak was killed last night in the city of Izeh after being shot by security forces’ military bullets.

Kian Pirfalak, whom his teacher remembers as an intelligent and gifted boy, was recently set to participate in the Jabir ibn Hayyan scientific competitions. In a video released of him, he designed a small boat for these competitions and wanted to test it. At the beginning of the video, Kian says in the name of the god of the rainbow, with such poetic sensibility and desire to become an inventor, he begins testing his design with the name of the creator of beauties, the beautiful perspective that Kian had on life.

But unfortunately, little Kian fell victim to the selfishness and authoritarianism of the Islamic Republic regime and was killed last night in a terrorist operation in the city of Izeh by gunfire from security forces.

Kian’s family had raised their son with thousands of hopes and dreams, and certainly knew that one day Kian would become one of the elite, but today, fearing their son’s body would be taken away, they brought him home and covered his lifeless body with ice they had collected from their own home and neighbors’.

Kian’s grandfather announced that the identity of the terrorists must be revealed. How is it possible that someone is going home and they open fire on him.

This incident sparked intense and widespread reaction on social media. Iranians gain more motivation for uprising and overthrowing the regime every day with each death. They announced that if we remain silent and retreat, the regime’s fire will also consume us.

We are human, humans existing between two eternities. An eternity when we did not exist but this world has existed for millions of years, and an eternity when we will not exist and this world with all its bitterness and sweetness will remain for millions of years. Throughout all these years, as people, we wanted to use this short opportunity between two eternities as we ourselves wish. To be happy and enjoy life and bring happiness to others, but unfortunately we were even denied this. The very thing that was denied to little Kian with all his goals and dreams, and he will take them all with his small, lifeless body beneath the earth.
