Over 11,700 COVID-19 Patients Identified in Iran Over the Past 24 Hours

Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that over 11,700 COVID-19 patients were identified in Iran over the past 24 hours, and 239 patients died during the same period.

According to official statistics from the Ministry of Health, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Iran has reached approximately 5 million and 560,000. Also, according to these official statistics, the total number of deaths from this disease has reached approximately 120,000 people.

The official statistics announced by the Ministry of Health have been repeatedly questioned by experts and members of parliament.

Currently, 29 cities in Iran are in a red status, 224 cities in an orange status, 165 cities in a yellow status, and 30 cities in a blue status.
